Purpose/Vision

CityServe's Compassion Network is a faith-based, non-profit clearinghouse which unites willing volunteers from approximately 60 local congregations with needy individuals and families in the Fremont, Union City and Newark area.

As needs arise, the Compassion Network responds, by searching its volunteer database and donation listings in order to find the right volunteer or resource to meet the specific need at hand.

Compassion Network personnel are trained to make referrals to agencies within the Family Resource Center.

Compassion Network also makes referrals to social services, and to partnering non-profit organizations. This broad-based referral process ensures that critical needs are being met and that connections within the local community are being strengthened.
